Two panel folding screen with eagles
Ancient Japanese two folding screen depicting a winter landscape and three majestic eagles, two of which perched on the bare and twisted branches of an old tree, the other in flight, evidently about to swoop down on a prey not visible to us.
The artist, with impressive skill and through the use of fine-tipped brushes, succeeded in describing the anatomical details of these wonderful birds of prey in a convincing way in the smallest details.
