A a six-panel folding screen painted in ink, natural pigments and gofun on gold-leaf ground, depicting “The Three Friends of Winter” (shochikubai): an ancient pine (matsu), a blossoming plum tree (ume) some small bamboo among sharp rocks, with also two different camelias (tsubaki).
